ALFESS™, Functional Electrical Stimulation System

ALFESS™ is a cutting-edge device designed to improve gait for individuals with foot drop or limited foot and toe clearance. It supports the tibialis anterior muscles to actively dorsiflex the foot, helping to lift the forefoot during walking. The device is worn on the upper part of the lower leg, where sensors detect walking speed and leg angles, allowing the system to adapt to the user’s natural gait. An advanced algorithm processes this data and sends targeted electrical impulses to stimulate the nerves and raise the foot. Users can easily adjust the stimulation intensity at any time.

With its sleek, ergonomic design, ALFESS™ is suitable for bilateral use and features a magnetic clasp for easy application. The device can be operated with one hand using intuitive controls.

The training mode is designed to optimise rehabilitation outcomes. Patients can engage in guided training with a clinician or follow clear instructions for independent training at home.
